Welcome To My Blog!

Hello! Thanks for stopping by to read my ramblings. This has been something I have wanted to do for such a long time and finally I have took the plunge! I will aim to write a post daily on topics such as beauty, fashion, food and lifestyle. With tips, tricks + trends in between. I really hope you enjoy! 

I thought to start off it would be a good idea to introduce myself with a good old list of 10, slightly random, things about me... 

1) I have 3 first names that make up my whole name - Hayley Charlotte  Shannon. To this day my boss still thinks it's double barrelled and constantly calls (mainly shouts) my full name when addressing me. 

2) I am ambidextrous. Very handy when doing mascara, if only I could do them simultaneously. Getting ready in the morning would fly by!

3) For the first 2 years of having our cat, Macie, we thought he was a girl. Until he jumped up onto the windowsill one evening revealing anatomy that proved he wasn't. Even now he will answer if he hears "good girl" but to be honest he'd answer to anything if you're stood close enough to the fridge. 

4) Since having to turn vegan and gluten free due to health reasons, I have revamped my diet and my recipes completely. You may be thinking that it's all lettuce leaves and flavourless meals now, but instead I chose to see this as a challenge! I take the classic meals I loved before and adapt it to suit a vegan and gluten free diet! If you're in a similar situation, look out for my recipe posts such as "Vegan Big Macs" or "Vegan Pulled Chicken Stir Fry" coming soon! Even meat eaters I know love them! 

5) I'm a big fan of classic comedies, Tudor History + Renaissance Art. Oh and hummus. Lots of hummus! If anyone knows the number of Hummus Addicts Anonymous please let me know! 

6) I'm currently learning how to drive. My first car is going to be a yellow VW Beetle. It wasn't the engine size or the room that attracted me, but the fact it came with a flower on the dash board. DONT JUDGE! 

7) My most embarrassing experience as a kid (and probably most athletic) was front flipping over my bike handlebars in St James Park when I hit a Queens Jubilee Plate in the ground. My most recent embarrassing experience as an adult was accidentally going into the men's toilets at the o2 and being trapped there until the vast majority of people had gone to make my escape!

8) I have a slight strain of colourblindness but only with two colours. I see very pale blue as grey and brown as purple! I have no idea why and even if that is counted as being colourblind, but when people debate over how 'taupe' is pronounced, I debate over whether it's actually brown in the first place. 

9) You could say I have a tiny obsession with West End Musicals - particularly Mamma Mia at The Novello Theatre - as I've, at last count, seen it 7 times in 2 years!

10) Autumn + Winter are my favourite seasons, so I'm pleased to be starting my blog at "the most wonderful time of the year"
