Homemade Vegan Pumpkin Spice Latte!

It's that time of year again, where we all transition from crop tops and bold colours to jumpers and berry shades. One thing that has become a bit of an Autumn cult classic in recent years is the Pumpkin Spice Latte! Whether you have tried it to see what all the fuss is about or just to warm your hands up, it is undoubtedly one of Starbucks best sellers. But what about if you're vegan? Or if you don't want to spend out that much for a coffee? Then look no further! Here's my recipe for a yummy Pumpkin Spice Latte that is vegan friendly. But it's not just for vegans, you can also follow this recipe and substitute the dairy free options for whatever suits your preferences, so you get top barista style quality but from the comfort of your own home! I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients you will need:

๐Ÿ1 Cup of Non Dairy Milk (I like to use Alpro Almond Milk
๐Ÿ‚1 Cup of Americano Style Coffee (As strong as you like, I use Carte Noire
๐Ÿ‚1-2 tbsp of Pumpkin Purรฉe (I hunted for this for ages! If you live in the UK you can find Libby's Pumpkin Purรฉe in Waitrose
๐Ÿ1 tsp Cinnamon
๐Ÿ‚1 tsp Nutmeg
๐Ÿ1 tsp Agave Nectar (I love the the Groovy Food Co Organic one
๐Ÿ‚Dairy Free Whipped Cream (I use Whiptop Whipped Cream from Sainsbury's. Alternatively you can froth the Almond Milk

Tools you will need:

๐ŸSaucepan
๐Ÿ‚Large Mug
๐ŸPhone to Instagram it afterwards!

Method:

๐Ÿ1. Make a good old cup o'coffee - strong with nothing else added to it apart from the coffee granules and water to make sure it does actually taste like a latte and not a sweetened pumpkin mixture!

๐Ÿ‚2. Once that's done add to a saucepan and put that on a low-medium heat on the hob. This will make sure that the coffee stays at the right temperature. We don't want an iced frappe!

๐Ÿ3. Into the coffee add 1-2 tbsp of the Pumpkin Purรฉe according to your taste. Stir that well until every last bit of pumpkin has dissolved so you don't have a lumpy latte.

๐Ÿ‚4. Next pour in the Almond milk and stir until it has combined.

๐Ÿ5. Squeeze in the agave nectar. If your milk isn't sweetened you may want to add a little more, depending on your preferences.

๐Ÿ‚6. Stir that well and season with the cinnamon and nutmeg

๐Ÿ7. Pour into your favourite festive mug; top with some whipped cream, a sprinkling of the spices and a drizzle of agave nectar!

๐Ÿ‚8. Dive into deliciousness!

I hope you enjoyed this recipe and here's an Autumn toast to you - cheers! ☕️☕️
