Part 2 Christmas Beauty Advent Calendar Guide - MID-RANGE VERSION (£25 - £60)

Just like the second tray in a box of enticing chocolates, I'm back with a second instalment of my guide to the Christmas Beauty Advent Calendars out this year. If you didn't catch yesterday's post I detailed the top 20 under £20 for those on a budget. Today I will be focusing on the middle ground, the inbetweeners if you like, that cost between £25 - £60. I will only be talking about twelve that I really think are worth splurging your hard earned cash on. I hope you enjoy!

The Twelve Ways of Christmas...Calendars

1)πŸŽ„ Benefit Girl O'Clock Rock Christmas Advent Calendar - Debenhams £34.50
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the first all singing, all dancing (sort of) Christmas Advent Calendar! Benefit have used their creative noggins to come up with not only a chic looking calendar, reminiscent of AbFab, but it plays an "original, seasonal Bene-song" when opened! Genius! It features 12 of Benefit's Best Sellers; POREfessional, They're Real Mascara, Benetint + Posietint, They're Real Remover, It's Potent Eye Cream, Ultra Plush Lip Gloss, Hoola, Dandelion, BADgal, High Beam + Lollitint that would be worth a grand total of £68 - so you're getting all this for half price!

2)πŸŽ„ House of Fraser Beauty Advent Calendar - House of Fraser £25
Firstly the packaging could be a work of Christmas art that I'd happily hang on my wall. It looks like a luxury shop in Oxford Street with snow falling and makes me want to get into the Christmas Spirit now! It features a collection of House of Fraser's own brand `Colour Couture` make-up must-haves; lipsticks and glosses, eyeshadows and dusts, glitter and shiny nail varnishes, mascara and eyeliners as well as a whole host of nail art supplies!

3)πŸŽ„ The Body Shop 24 Happy Days Christmas Advent Calendar - Body Shop £60
Encased in a festive fur tree green casing, secured with a satin bow are 24 drawers of The Body Shop treats! With gorgeous Christmas scents such as "spiced apple" and "frosted berries." Inside you'll find shower gels, moisturisers and lotions, tweezers, lip butters, eyeliners, nail polishes and hand cream amongst other delights for the body. I think this would be a really lovely one to open on those cold winter days and look forward to sinking into a warm bath!

4)πŸŽ„ LUSH 12 Days of Christmas - LUSH £52.95
I love LUSH for many reasons but especially because they are vegan and because they know how to use a good pun. This year their Advent Calendar is in the form of a red, gold and green (karma chameleon...) box with 12 festive goodies inside! 5 bath bombs including everyone's fave Butterbear and Golden Wonder, shower gels and soaps, bubble bars including the insanely cute Christmas Penguin, bath melts such as the beautiful Snow Angel and a body lotion!

5)πŸŽ„ No7 Beauty Calendar - Boots £39 *Available 21st Oct*
No7 are a very classy and classic brand and I think this is reflected with their less is more gold packaging of this beautiful advent calendar. It looks luxurious and the products inside certainly are too! With 24 No7 products - including 6 full size ones - you will receive a mixture of make up, skincare and nail products as well as a few limited edition make up brushes! This advent calendar is available at Boots from 21st October.

6)πŸŽ„ Jack Wills Advent Calendar - Boots £35
With a checkerboard print any draughts player would be proud of, this chic looking Advent Calendar reminds me of a jewellery box with 25 little square drawers that contain mini versions of the English Velvet Range, the Signature Range and the Hope Cove range with a body lotion, wash, scrub and butter. Also inside are seasonal nail varnishes and hair accessories. A lovely indulgent treat to start everyday over the Christmas period with!

7)πŸŽ„ DeclΓ©or 25 Surprise Treats Christmas Advent Calendar - John Lewis £60
Forget gold bars, this molten gold box that opens up to reveal 25 doors is the ultimate for those who love skincare! It has everything you could possibly need to indulge your body over the festive season. Featuring 2 full size products, 19 facial skincare products (including masks, eye creams and face lifting creams) and 6 body treats (bath milks, shower gels and lotions) by Christmas Day you will be as soft as the fluffy mash potatoes from the Christmas dinner! 8)πŸŽ„ OPI Breakfast at Tiffany's Mini Mani Christmas Advent Calendar - John Lewis £59.95
No, not Tiffany the jewellers as if they had brought an Advent Calendar out I can guarantee it wouldn't be in the mid range budget - you'd probably need to remortgage the house to afford it! OPI have released a whole range of beauties inspired by Breakfast at Tiffany's which includes this gorgeous and unique Advent Calendar. With the classic Audrey Hepburn silhouette on the front, it opens up to reveal 25 doors that contain "25 shades from OPI to suit your every mood, outfit and occasion." As well as some of their classics, it also features limited editions from the Breakfast at Tiffany's collection that all have a chip-resistant formula. Each bottle is 3.75ml and would be perfect for Christmas as Audrey Hepburn put it so rightly "Elegance is the only beauty that never fades" let's just hope the nail varnish doesn't fade either.

9)πŸŽ„ L'Occitane Christmas Beauty Advent Calendar - L'Occitane £42.00
I think out of all of the Advent Calendars, the packaging of this one captures Christmas the best. A beautiful book like casing that opens up, when you untie the Christmas red ribbon, to reveal a collage of many pictures that tell a story of people getting ready for Christmas! Inside are 24 L'Occitane skincare, Haircare and bathing products worth £80!

  • 11)πŸŽ„ Make Up Revolution Beauty Advent Calendar - Superdrug £25
  • This one has quite a simple design of a matte black box with a gold festive star on the front, that opens up to reveal the double decker of 25 Make Up Revolution products including lip glosses, strobe highlight cream and even a whole full size 12 pan eyeshadow pallette! I think this is a brilliant one that contains many good quality and useful products, but won't break the bank too much!
